MASS SCHEDULE FOR ASH WEDNESDAY
FEBRUARY 17, 2021
(No 8:00 am Mass)
9:00 Am, and 5:00 pm in English,
7:00 pm in Spanish
“Distribution of ashes in time of pandemic”
The Priest says the prayer for blessing the
ashes. He sprinkles the ashes with holy
water, without saying anything. Then he
addresses all those present and only once
says the prayer as it appears in the Roman
Missal, applying it to all in general: “Repent,
and believe in the Gospel”, or “Remember
that you are dust, and to dust you shall
return”. The Priest then cleanses his hands,
puts on a face mask and distributes the
ashes to those who come to him. He takes
the ashes and sprinkles them on the head of
each one without saying anything.
Distribution of Ashes by sprinkling on the
head of the person is common in some
STATIONS OF THE CROSS
A beautiful Lenten devotion that brings us to greater love and appreciation of the suffering
which Jesus underwent for us and also of how we can better accept and be transformed by the
suffering which comes into our lives.
English Stations of the Cross will be held every Friday during Lent at 5:00 P.M in English and 7:00 P.M in Spanish.
Votive Angel Devotion for Lent
Angel’s with mounts are available for $10.00. They can be purchased before and after Mass on the weekends
during Lent. Look for the Knights of Columbus outside next to the hall. A little candlelit with this sets up a very peaceful and tranquil experience for prayer and devotion, personally or with others.
With this Angel, we will hold prayer and devotions during Lent, starting with a rosary on Ash Wednesday, of which then a schedule will be provided to you with further times of prayer and rosary.
